i say grow up turn the OOC off or find another game . GMs cant control every word that is typed in your chat box . just like in real life your going to hear and see stuff you dont like. either do something about it or get over it . if you start putting time limits on messages for OOC they will put it in shout do it in shout they will do it in auction just leave it alone i never heard anyone complain on live about any stupid thing like this

I'm not an advocate of shutting off /ooc even though I have it off 99% of the time. It's just unfortunate that the biggest mouths have absolutely nothing to say worth paying attention to. Limiting it's use might be a good compromise though.

Please allow me to introduce you to an under-used command ... /ignore
I don't see the spam because if people are abusing the global OOC i immediately put them on /ignore.... if they are talking shit to each other, i politely ask the parties in question to take it to tells, if they do not... they get placed on /ignore... People, it is as simple as this... don't like what you see? /ignore it! The thing I love about EQ vs all other is that in this game your reputation actually impacts you... You think spam is bad here, try playing wow and watching the "trade" channel for any actual trading going on... In the end, for the ones who want to act like children, if we all /ignore them, very soon they will only be "impressing" themselves in their own little world where no one acknowledges them and/or entertaining the other kiddies who are /ignored with them... Morale of the story: Be careful how you act in public forums, it may impact your chance to enjoy playing this game. Please utilize your power to filter out the rude and adolescent players. (/ignore) Rinse and repeat.... Bye-Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ..!
