Dullah is the minister of disinformation. Give LoZ a shot and judge for yourself. The ruleset itself makes up more than enough for the bugs that are fixed on a daily basis by the extremely active server leadership. There is more pvp in a night than R99 had in a week with 500 pop.


Just goes to show how awesome this server could have been with the right rules and leadership.

Also, as someone who had never played with YT/leaderboard before LoZ, holy shit it makes the pvp so much more meaningful and exciting.

All along I had planned on coming back to R99 once the server picked back up, not so sure anymore

YT/Leaderboard dont "make pvp so much more meaningful" lol, controlling the content does.

So yeah, stay on that shitbox and make a YT off some random ganking in Oasis. I prefer fighting over content, the classic EQ red way.

There isn't anyone in oasis, everyone is playing in Kunark. As for Velious, red hasn't even gotten Kunark yet. It will be a couple years for you buddy.

Not sure what content you are fighting over but there is way more of that on LoZ. As for yellow text kills you wouldn't understand. Maybe you would understand if the yellow text announced every raid kill you got, it just depends on what you are into.

Levels 50-60 actually slow down A LOT. The named may spawn more often but they don't drop the common/rare nearly as often. Old world items are actually really hard to get to drop. Also it is custom on Kunark as far as drop rates. Some of the lesser gear is easier to find but the rarer items are even rarer. Not really bugs with classes. I have seen some arguments with bards on the server but then again people complain about it on red99 too. Hacks aren't an issue. Boxing is limited to 2 and if you are max level in meaningful zones you will get cleaned up if you are 2 boxing. It isn't really an advantage over other players. It is for convenience and fun while you aren't in groups with others.

Ok, lets follow some simple logic.

Red99 Release... Massive Population.
1 Month in... Exploits galore, Guilds starting to form.
2 Months... Holo banned for doing same shit Nihilim was doing.
3 Months... Casual PvPrs don't have the stomach to try to get to 50. (THIS is the bulk of any population, Same on Blue, the people who log in for a few hours here and these are the BULK of every playerbase).
1 Year later... 35 Population Max unless blue is down.

I didn't read your entire epic but I wanted to chime in here.

Most of us today are professionals; some, like Cast, are professional losers. Either way, we don't have the time to expend that we once did, 10+ years ago. We actually have sex with girls (if you're in Flowers of Happiness) and have a real life.

Logging in to see no one in my level range (and everyone anonymous) and knowing it's an insane grind to 50 to pvp is a turnoff. I can't spend the amount of time required to LEVEL.
