Haha yeah, the warrior was actually a paladin (Barthorn). That was a hell of a fucking job from Envyy though - I thought for sure we were dead.

In all fairness, though, this was before the melee nerfs in Kunark. It used to be a lot easier to interrupt Overking.

Anyone ever do Mage / Shaman duo of Fungi?

What about just using earth pet as the tank pet?
I've heard of Mage and Shaman duoing fungi king, but I've never seen it happen. It sounds like a situation that would result in death more often than not. Shaman heals can barely keep up with the king's dps unslowed, and any amount of debuffs you throw in there is going to take away from your heals. Without having both Malo (preferably Malosini) and Tash landed on the king, an earth pet's roots have basically no chance of landing, and even with these debuffs it is shaky from a pet. Trying to land debuffs on the king pretty much means that the shaman will end up tanking instead of the pet which is bad news.

In short, I wouldn't want to try it =) You pretty much need to get really lucky on stuff landing.

epic pet = GG (if the mage is pro enough to let the shaman do his end of things with no aggro transfer)

I've done the fungi king several times with Senim (enc/mag). I'm pretty sure the best duo for the king is enchanter/shaman: rapture+tash = 4 chances to slow him with max -MR. Enchanter/mage is also pretty safe b/c you can always rerapture, but its a bit more dangerous with heals.

Overking with one group is pretty impressive.

One group overking is sweet, was hoping there was a royals kill with low #'s. Figured you could do some crazy things with an epic'd mage. I'd say a monk doing efreeti is pretty cool.

puppet string charm a pet, mallet to slow her. there are a few other nice clickies to help keep you or your pet alive if things get dicey. there are a lot of little things that have to be just right for it to work, and no one has to have her on farm status :P i frapsed a bit of my second attempt, but its just the free version so there are only two 30 second videos, and i ended up hatting out due to so many charm and room breaks. finally got her on my third try. Freeid was soloing basement and Jainis (ranger) was soloing zone in at the time. she had a mace

hmmm, that sounds like a fun challenge. i haven't gotten around to soloing him yet with puppet strings, but i've been meaning too. after i see how easy/hard that is, then maybe i'll try it with just a bat pet. would have to use other clickies for sure tho.

i'm wondering if a shaman could solo drusella. slow'd shes not much of a melee threat, but her DoTs can be huge, unless you resist them. also the shaman wouldn't be able to cast a pet until after she was pulled, at least the way i do it. i don't know enough about playing a shaman to know if that would be possible.

I love stuff like this, my list:
duo
-Duo'd fungi king with mage (senim). possible with epic pet, equip pet with tash stick helps. It was far riskier than doing it with enchanter, but that said we never wiped on king when we got him, think we killed him twice.
- DUo'd fungi king with enchanter (loraen). This is infinitely safer than mage.

solo
- seb jugg
- efreeti
- cliff golem (my best one probably, self buffed, took me ages, but made easier because you can kit him around till you malosini + slow).

on my list
hierophant prime grekal
phinny (don't really know how hard he hits, might not be possible).

And also yes 16-20 VS with server lag and unable to group or talk in public channels
I would like to see 2 monks try to duo the king. I think they would both need a soulfire to pull this off lol
