It always took FF/Holo or whoever to track you guys down and engage pvp.......god forbid you guys even attempted to pvp it may have sparked life into the server. When you guys control most of the population you also have control of the direction the server is headed.Shame it spun into blueness
If we controlled most of the population then what does that say about the player base on Red99?

To me it says that most of the population looked for something that Nihilum offered and Holocaust/FF couldn't.

After playing Blue99 for a couple years and all the mess over raid content players on Red99 from Blue99 only cared about what mattered and that was Raid Content.

You are probably too jaded to realize it but the fact has/is that Nihilum really could care less about the PVP at Ghoul Lord or Efreeti between 2 or 3 players. We look for raid targets and PVP over it...which rarely happens anymore.

Stop quitting and man up.

Thanks to our pal Heartbrand, who shat upon is "uprising" guild by allying with holocaust that one night.

When 15 people from the "turd" guild seeks exile from these bad leaders, it doesnt take much convincing to spam the guildinvite hotkey.

Thanks again, Heartbrand.

EQ is a game designed largely around pve. When you add pvp, it allows you to contest and fight for xp camps, item camps, and raid targets. The goal should be to do those things, and eventually have a force strong enough to compete over, and win the content the game has to offer.

Thats what happened.

EQ pvp is about more than who is best at pvp; its about who can assemble and lead a guild. Its about recruiting what you need, respecting the playerbase and maintaining an image.

The other guilds thought they could just throw a bunch of gankers under a tag and expect them to work well together. When it came down to brass tacks, they had no coordination, no class balance, no leadership, and therefore got no victory.

We've always raided with the bare minimum required to win pvp and pve. Its EQ, not diablo 3.

We raid several nights a week, and hardly ever have more than 20. Even when the server was 200, we seldom had more than 30 online at once. But hey, if it makes people feel better to fall back on the "zerg" excuse...

If the game required less, we'd use less. If content was borked like LoZ, we'd wreck everyone with 2 groups the same way we did with 4 or 5. Thing is, those servers attract the lowest common denominator. Like Rushmore said a year ago, those players wouldn't make the cut on a classic server... and they didn't.

Have fun on LoZ fellas.

Ya, lets all meet up and pvp over lower guk for the 500th time over legacy items that no longer drop.

Month 9 of classic content on a pvp server and people still theorizing about why people don't log in.

Yes, wiping would level the playing field and offer more pvp, we get it. Then 3 months later we'd be back in the same place, waiting for something to pvp over. That could be rectified right now...
