Frankly, it doesn't have that 'legit' feeling to it, but it is undeniably more fun right now than red99. There were over 130 people on last night, even if 40 of those are additional clients, the server is still more lively and feels more alive than red99.

Is it ez? yeap, try soulbinders, 18-19% xp per yel/yed (havent even tried hotzones yet), vendors with research spells up to 50 for your class, YT, working ingame map, Global OOC, etc... it just isn't a pain in the ass to play, and although the diehard classic eq'ers will say blasphemy, truth is the majority of the eqemu crowd does not want to grind that shit out anymore or level without a pet because u cant find the words for it, etc

for the day and age in mmos now, LoZ is hittin the nail on the head in terms of playablity, will it ever be as reliable or stable as red99? probably not, but if ur goal is to logon and kill people.. its fun

I'm feeling the same way. LoZ is fun and I do like some of the additions to break up the incredibly monotonous grind on r99. But the server as a whole is buggy and the population is, well, just what you'd expect from a pvp server (douchebags). I can't even log into east commonlands there, and no idea why. I may be stuck with the monotonous r99 solo grind on a dead server because LoZ doesn't work properly for me.

More power to them if thats what they want. I never got into ez style games and I am not starting now. I enjoy classic EQ and am happy the devs opened a 2nd classic EQ server with red enabled.

Just not interested in "modern" eq , at all. These two severs (p99 and red99) are really for the "dire hard classic EQer" as you put it. Thats no secret, thats the whole purpose of of them.

I guess what I am trying to say is its compareing apples to oranges. red99 and ez69 are not really even the same game.

Your playing on the ez server you guys are 90% of thr population....there is no pvp there.

When it comes to recreating the experience of Classic EQ, R99 comes a hell of a lot closer than LoZ. I wouldn't mind so much if LoZ was simply R99 with increased exp rate, but the entire server is so chock full of compromises and that makes it impossible for me to actually have any investment in it. I'm glad some people enjoy it, but I really don't know how.

Maybe so, but the difference is that there are actual several GM's/dev on LoZ almost all the time that are constantly on fixing and patching things, I think eventually it will reach a more stable playable state. It's just more fun that Grind99.
