He should be questioning why people are playing on LoZ instead of this server (even in spite of the bugs).

I think you're hopelessly out of touch with the red playerbase to the point of naivete, and have not acknowledged that the population isn't going to magically come back because of a PvE content release or cramming more zones/grind into a server that doesn't need them. Time to be more open-minded about this.
What??? You have completely the wrong idea about me. I even said in another thread that releasing Kunark/Sky wouldn't significantly increase the population. This is not what I support at all.

No. See above.

I would, too. The VZTZ exp rate should have been in on this server from the start. It's not even my personal preference. It's me talking to people who refused to play here because it was too slow and time consuming. That exp rate only works if you have a decent amount of players in most of the zones. Demanding that players here solo grind their way up just to see pvp is really shitty and unclassic.
This would be relevant in some way if I hadn't recently argued for a (temporary) exp bonus to help the population. Classic exp is my personal preference, but I understand that the server can't go on with exp the way it is.

Yes, you reach the point where player trust/security is impacted (VZTZ wiped too many times), but I wouldn't have suggested it if I thought that would be an issue. ...
I think your experience is with the wrong types of players. People from the VZTZ crowd want to jump from server to server, proclaiming box dominance after they've leveled to 50 in less than a week, or proclaiming GM bias/hacks/etc. when things don't go their way until the server fails. They want a wipe because eq is funnest to them when they've just started on a new server. But what about people who wouldn't come back because their character gets deleted? I don't just speak for myself, many people wouldn't come back. That's too big of a risk to take for some uncertain benefit of players liking fresh starts.

Weigh how many players wouldn't come back vs how many players would come back

Willing to bet the latter is far greater than the former. Too big of a risk to take? On a server where 26 are online currently and hundreds (thousands?) have quit for various reasons? I'd say we can afford to take some risks.

You have two choices, one is implementing a bunch of changes, the other is wiping and reopening with those changes implemented. If the changes you implement are good enough to bring people back after wiping, then they're good enough to bring people back if you don't wipe. You just need to bring lots of people back at once, which means you need to advertise the changes well beforehand. Wiping isn't necessary and will just deter many players from rerolling and investing their time into the server. Rogean said "we're never going to do a wipe", so people would lose trust if he suddenly wiped the server.

Gold.

...Which is something many people did on Live, in the classic era. I should have known I'd be ridiculed for wanting some variety on this server. Really the main reason I started the guild was so that people would have a place where they didn't have to read racist/homophobic shit in their guild chat... you know that there are people interested in this server who aren't bigots and trolls, right?

He don't read this little stuff.

Too much arguing back and forth, and side comments, threads get big quick, and theres too much shit to read through.

Wish I could moderate my own thread, id cut the bullshit.

I agree on this btw. I just don't see it happening.
