OP

to me it sound like you only wanted ideal xp and grps when you was out their looking for grps.

You will not always get grp in ideal dungeon with good xp mod.

Their is plenty of places to get xp as long you accept that it not going to be best xp rate or ideal grp.

examples. overthere, frontier mountains, fiona vie.

a rogue grouped in a duo perty much with any class can do ok here. especially if you can get your hands on a snare procing weapon. again XP IS NOT GOING TO BE FLYING LIKE AN IDEAL XP GROUP IN DUNGEON WITH HIGH MOd, but you will get xp and get some progress done .

I have seen these many times people jst dont want to step outside the box and get whatever xp they can , they rather just do the ideal dungeons. that works fine if their plenty of people to grp with, but when their is not you need to open your mind to other options.

Thanks for listening

OP, you really missed out on how fun this server was before it started showing it's age. Dang it was a blast when the lower level population was still healthy. I stopped playing around the time it all started crapping out but as you said in your title, it was fun while it lasted.

I've made a few attempts to get back into it but the leveling up part of the game is dead. It doesn't help that I play at odd hours.

In my opinion anyone who suggests soloing to max level is missing the point of EQ. Without grouping what is EQ? It's like the crappiest single player game ever made is what it is. If you aren't grouping, if you aren't interacting with other players, if the zones aren't alive with other players doing stuff---well then it's just a very, very crappy, boring, and pointless grind.

I wish they could find a way to fix it but nobody seemed to like my suggestion of having a remort month and I don't have any other suggestions.

I'm just waiting for Velious now because I expect there will be a brief resurgence of interest when it opens. Everyone coming back for their nostalgia run throughs you know. It will probably be fun again for a while then before it peters out again.

The 30's are a pain in the butt. For some reason that level range is when people switch to a new toon. You logged before we could send you a grp invite last night. We went into Sol A and worked the fortress. Good time for all for a few hours.

I would say start with some foundation and then apply as needed. Never overdo it or you'll end up looking like a whore.
