Seafuries used to be better than they are now. I used to share Seafuries with MAYBE one other person for the longest time. I would be raking in so much money I couldn't even spend it all at one point.

Prices arent that bad. Only rare raid gear is outrageous (velious will solve most of that). VLike someone said, midrange stuff is priced well.

10k for an FBSS during kunark seems reasonable. 6k for GEBs is extremely reasonable.

idk, I bought fbss for 3k, Sarnak Battle Shield for 2.4k, Moss for 2k....this kind of prices ... and I got my Ceremonial Ikky BP from softskin I killed in Karana [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It was on Rallos Zek, roughly 6 months after Kunark was out.

yeah if you use way back machine (which basically serves snapshots of websites from the past), look at gear prices in Kunark era, all I keep seeing is 4k, 5k, 3k on FBSS, nothing near 12k.

A server with low pop should have prices at the lower end of that range.

You should have seen the cost of a SSOY last year [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Prices fluctuate, and the game has been out enough that whether by duping or by seafury and giant camping there's a lot of raw platinum on the server and nothing really to take it back out of the game.

Ya but now SSOY's, which haven't lost effectiveness in the L37-55 group game are now 1000/pair. That's INCREDIBLE value! As I stated earlier, you pay out the ass for BIS, but 80% of BIS is amazingly affordable.

I didn't play on PvP servers, but my guess is that farming platinum was much more difficult there, keeping downward pressure on prices.

Honestly though, as I've said before, the prices for *decent* items like fbss/sbs seem to be roughly pegged to how long it takes to camp them, and how much straight plat you could farm in that time.

If you can farm plat at a rate of 1.5k/hour, and it takes 6 hours to camp an FBSS, why would you want to sell it for less than 9k?

I would also think that having a low population (demand) would pander to that behavior as well.
