Knowing who, where, and when you will be fighting is kinda lame. Part of the allure of eq pvp is that a player needs to be able to anticipate a lot of different scenario's and adapt on the fly.

Not totally shitting your idea up, it'll probably be the most pvp the server has seen in weeks. Most of the remaining players gate as soon as a pvp encounter is likely.

This is all a pretty big pipe dream. Nothing really ever gets done. GM's are too busy playing other games or spending time doing things that are not really that important like policing peoples names.

ye i see where you are coming from. its true that time and place would be known but who exactly is going to represent these 2 (3?) guilds wouldnt be totally known. with time to plan for this event, i expect some good plays to come out of this. I think Amelinda would be down for this if we get enough people to agree. Again it will take little of her time other than summons and sealing and saying FIGHT!

... so hard to read isnt it. first the reason i said no spectators is cuz unlike live, people have no fear of interfering in an event so this keeps honest people honest. secondly I said there should be 1-2 people FRAPing the whole thing and being edited. Ultimately we would get an edited video that is both entertaining and possibly a good advertisement tool. also I am sure some players will be recording and taking SS as well. should provide hours of forum entertainment and good laughs. maybe we could even all be friends

the problem with that idea is people would be able to zone. mobs would be trained to high hell, and no way would you be able to watch it because pvp would be everywhere. think of this more like a best of the best tourny team death match. world pvp is great but in EQ people can just zone.

also i dont think an arena team battle can be considered wowish seeing as how the arena and eq were around way before that.
