im more just upset it seems like a very loud minority is using troll accounts and foul language to try to persuade people to get their was labanen. if it was some other box that will die off or be whiped then whatever. alot of us play this for the classic feel it dosent feel like an emu it is much better then that. i also said i dont mind yellow text because it dosent change the acctual game. global ooc will change many things. i can see how yellow text might encourage pvp i can also see how it will be discouraging too some people dont want everyone to know they died so they will avoid pvp some people dont care. in the end people on forums will hear you died anyways. I dont mind admitting my defeats, Oraculus, Vamael and tragic have all killed me in the past. So im not afraid of pvp.

What i find funny about all of this is some people tried to warn us before box even opened that it would become this.
THIS IS NOT VZ/TZ. i never played on that, a lot of people i know on here came from zek live and fippy dark paw. we dont want bro box 2.0. we want a recreation of classic everquest! Someone open up Vz/tz again if thats what you want! I like my boat rides, i can stand the grind, i dont mind LFG.

What does finding a group matter on /ooc anyways if you cant get to that person? Cheaper gear, avaiability of ports, and a more mature presence on forums and in game is what we need, maybe augmented with a few events.

Have a week long event. XP loss from pvp goes to person or grp who scored kill, and maybe double it for kicks on the last day. Another cool event is tell us when manastone is about to be taken out of game. Give us a week notice and Guk will be like madison square garden. Theres stuff that can be done without doing this is what im saying and those things should be tried first.

Fortunately for you, global ooc would definitely promote this one bro. Cheaper gear comes from in game selling for people who don't feel like using the forums. Availability of ports, definitely more of a chance if you can /ooc paying x amount of plat for a port instead of trying to fish through anon characters to find a nice enough person willing to admit their druid or wizardish ways and be nice enough to port you.

Your logic here fails again sir, it will change IF you want to use it yes. The things you ask for above will be more readily available to you because what? Everyone can see you asking for it in global ooc...if you choose to use it.

There are ignore filters for those who don't feel like seeing specific trolls speak, there is also the ability to transfer ooc chat into another chat window which you can hide off screen!

Global ooc has no effect on boat rides, except most likely drawing some sort of humor while you wait your 20/30 minutes to travel across whatever ocean you might be taking your adventure on.

Global ooc also has no effect at all on your, "grind," in fact most players would enjoy the fact because they might have a class who does not solo efficiently, but they only have a couple hours to play and don't really know anyone on the server. So instead of having to sit camped in a dungeon and getting shit on by random people while lfging they can ooc from safer places and then get a group without losing exp pre-group.

Global ooc provides a much nicer LFG tool than /who all lfg and going through the people you may consider and telling each one, waiting for responses, and then finally getting everyone together and ready to slay teh dragon.

Most likely pretty difficult to code, but has potential for a fun pvp promotion event.

Pal, you can go through like most other players and find out when the timeline manastone/de mask get taken out for yourself. I am sure multiple threads contain that information on these forums and outside of these forums. Its classic with nothing besides classic non-raid zones out. Solb and guk are the two hotspots anyway.

The above post is an example of why people are leaving.

"go away"

We are talking about preserving the population yet it seems ok to just tell 40% of the population to go away? Do you think about what you just said?

I'm telling you to go away, not 40% of the population. I'm also not sure why you state 40% of the population, the poll has 29% saying they don't want global ooc. Of that 29%, so far, you are the only one suggesting a boycott. Like I said, you appear to be alone in this, therefore, you should go away.

Hi.

I am a new player on this server (level 9). Don't speak for me, thanks.

The above player was not an example of why people like me are leaving.

YOU are an example of the idiot that makes people like me want to leave.

Global OOC makes me want to keep playing.

Kthx.

Sorry I just started on the PvP server yesterday. I am a newb so I wanted someone to explain why having /OOC chat is going to hurt the PvP server ?

I could see why it could hurt a RP server since folks could be lazy and just talk in /OOC all day.

Maybe they left because of the rampant, and largely public, cheating to level, raid, etc.? Nah, that wouldn't drive off legit players who desire fair competition without the likes of vztz retards cheating....no way.

i forget most of the people who want global ooc and yellow text live their feeble existence through the praise they gain trolling and griefing in a 12 year old video game. its a simple life, i guess i am jeleous.

welcome bro box 2.0.
good bye classic everquest.
