I'll agree you aren't laying it down on flop, and maybe even going broke over it, it really depends on a lot of factors that are imposs to know from OP but in online cash where every1 tite as fuck hard to put on a range that you're beating

There's a time and place for playing most hands. But can't criticize for playing 9-7 without knowing position, villains, and preflop action.

Lost 7 buyins @ 5-10 and 2-5 in one afternoon/evening once. Lost a buyin an hour. Until you've had swings like that you don't know bad beats. :P If any of you guys will be at WSOP in Vegas this summer let me know.

I don't play much anymore (traditional job = less variance, less stress). Play as a profitable hobby now so I don't rage at piddly bad beats. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I never really had a long bad run online. I also completely transitioned to live games about a month before Black Friday. I would have been fucked because my roll was entirely on FT.

Does that mean I was running hot irl? Heh.

Again, nothing wrong with 9-7 given certain table dynamics, villains play, and stack sizes. Implied odds can definitely be there. Same way why sometimes you set mine and other times you fold small pp's

ya no argument with that, not enough info obv about pf, my only observation here is in cash @ least online every1 set mines and someone willing to re-raise you on flop with board like that it's hard to put them on a lot of hands you're beating imho but yes greatly depends upon the reads + it's 1/2 live
