even a very limited ammount of aa's would be good imo, not the 3 zillion they have in live even a shorter condensed list of what luclin released would be a great addition. class aa's were such a boon to most if not all classes some were kinda bleh and only picked up for filler though

If they limited you to like 10 aa's that would be fine. I'll take runspeed anyday.

10k+ harmtouches, ranger archery, manaburn?

I sure hope that code is hogged out to the point those are never seen again. /prays

The problem everyone has with Vah Shir is that they were on the moon. They're whole story revolved around being blown off Odus by the Erudite faction wars, yet Kerrans (who are Vah Shir with the old polygons) were alive and well a zone away from Erudin. There was little reason to put the Vah Shir on the moon when the story for them was already sitting in Erud's Crossing.

Per Rogean, It's sad to hear AAs may be dropped in custom content. A few classes, like Wizards and Rangers, really needed AAs (excluding mana burn) to truly reach their classic potential. For instance EQ+AM3 made the ranger the class it should have been. I like guineapig's idea of capping AAs so that you have to specialize and can't just max them out. I look forward to any custom content this server does see, but only after an awesome Classic experience =).

my problem with them is that they're anthropomorphic cats, e.g. furries

I'd rather run3 be omitted than ranger archery. The other 2 examples you provide I agree should be omitted, but rangers as a ranged melee class is cool, allowed them to provide competitive DPS, and brought them out of the stigma they had from the previous expansions. Even here on P99 its "LOLRanger"; EQ+AM3 changed this.

What did run3 change about the game? O, its easier to outrun NPCs indoors now!

Fading memories > run3 any day of the week

I love Rangers but they hardly did "competitive DPS". The ones I remember were knocking on Rogue levels if not surpassing depending on the fight.

Life with Run3 made getting around 30% faster when you couldn't cast sow or jboots. Which meant a game designed to slow down time and space as we know it was only 70% as bad.
