Hint: He's mega weak until he casts Cure 3 & Regen, after that he starts doing Aqua Rake, if you're doing enough damage he should only get one off. Save enough MP for a fire or two at the end, a couple Aqua Rakes will fuck your shit up.

since we're on the topic, i am starting to play thru ff6 myself (normal mode, i have yet to beat it) and I just got the espers from the ghost town. I'm noticing an annoying "bug" but I doubt it's an actual bug;

When I use Celes, she will randomly lose 10-20 MP per battle, even when I don't use any magic or espers. anyone have any idea why this happens?

Rune Edge.

um, rnf edit: because there are a handful of weapons in the game that do auto-criticals at the cost of MP

yeah, i think rune edge is one of them that uses mp when you attack

Not a bug, Rune Edge uses ~18 MP per attack to auto-critical. I don't like it.

I never take the Rune Edge because if you leave the chest untouched it turns into a Ribbon later in the game.
