Trance sticks from CoM yard trash? I'm gonna agree with Asher here, never saw them drop grinding xp on Rallos Zek , nor more recently farming epic drops in CoM on Al'kabor.

If tranquil staves are droping once a day on p99.... and Melodious Truncheons are so common they are being sold... hmmm.

(and what drops did the EQlive devs "make more common in kunark" recently on the progression servers? Some of them had to have been almost non existant rare for them to bother making a change like that.... ultra rare like classic tranqil staves/trance sticks/crap from Howling stones).

They are just doing their best with the information they have and this is a free server.

I am hoping that once we have a polished server they will consider a re-release of p99.

Al'kabor is a very tightly knit community. When I played there my bard was the top geared bard on the server with the same name as my forum name here.

Gnostica, a well known wizard has spent more time in this zone then anyone else on the server and said in many many hours a Truncheon never dropped.

I am not sure who Palemoon is on Al'kabor but what he says is true. There is not 1 on the entire server.

Right, I wasn't being clear. When I said it wasn't accurate I was trying to say that it was surely the cause of a bug and that the truncheon wasn't actually that rare at that point in the timeline.

Its because hardly anyone goes to Howling Stones (server released with the first five expansions out at once, so there was no "kunark era" with people crowding the kunark dungeons, and howling stones has a very anoying no rent key system) + the Melodious Truncheon being the ultra rarest of three drops off a rare mob = not silly.

I dont think a single "Bam Stick" exists on the server either, guess thats silly too. List goes on.

P99 ... 3 Days on and off lvl 30 mob with what seems like 1/100th chance of dropping after killing said mob 14 times in 3 days

Live ... IF even 30 mins on a level 30 mob to get the item drop.

Depends on the item and the mob. Some of the lower level rare spawns are unreasonably long spawn timers even on live with terrible drop rates.
