Should have done this:

> Disable any form of XP gain.

> Put an NPC in each city that bumps your level to x. Every few days, x goes up by 10.

> Put a vendor next to the leveling NPC with free gear that matches what can be obtained at whatever the current level bracket is.

> Make one of the zones non-PvP but /duel enabled and have an NPC that casts a +500 mana and HP regen buff on you when hailed. Buff fades if you leave that zone.

That'll let people test whatever the hell they want rather than require grinding and gearing up on a fucking beta server or having a character and appropriate gear waiting on blue99 for when they enable transfers. The non-PvP zone will let people power-test resists in an environment where they won't get ganked every 30 seconds. That'll give actual feedback and numbers worth looking at. If people want to test quests and drop rates (dunno why, they're all working since p99 has had two years to fine-tune this) they can freely do so. All that's happening right now is 50% of the server is poopsocking to get to 50 the fastest without testing a fucking thing, and 50% of the server is stuck in a gfay griefing moshpit where they can't test a fucking thing.

Beta could take a week or two, but I guess we have to waste our time killing orcs and skeletons to make it take a month or more.

Yes, I also suggested something similar.

Rogean is a smart guy, I am beginning to think the reason xp is slow because they dont have alot of time to fix things and making people level is their way of cutting down pvp bug reports to a more manageable volume.

A lot of people won't invest this much time for beta, you can already see numbers dwindling.

it will take at least a month for hardcore players to get decent gear and maxlvl on the real server. if we dont test the low and midrange NOW, it will be a unbalanced and no fun

ppl might leave because of the current leveling speed but those bitching pussies would leave anyways as soon they are max lvl so its better to keep it as it is.

i do see one thing in threads like this. ppl will never stop bitching, same what nilbog and staff do for us.

Like I've said in other posts, xp rate is fine, but why should I grind for a week to test PvP out on a beta server.

If they really want to test low level/mid range pvp then why not just make xp rate ridiculously fast or allow GMs to pop us to 20/30 etc?

PvE doesn't need to be tested folks, it's been tested for 2 fkn years on P99.
