Pfft...fuck Cid. Despite not being able to control him with it, when you first get to the gold saucer and try doing the arena (when you're initially WAY too low level to even attempt it) the only way to plausibly do it without cheating it throw Vincent in there with a Limit Break (the Frankenstein transformation if I remember correctly...chainsaw doesn't have enough HP) and just watch him faceroll the entire thing.
