Mana regen seems a bit slow since patch. Have food/drink/etc, just moving slower

Hey @Nilbog --

Giants in Kael (unsure in other areas) have a psychotically high regen rate.

Giants that have 16 - 1900 HP, im doing 3700 - 4100 to kill.

Can you take a look?

RIP Morning Dew.
It seems like ground spawns are not really working well the past couple of months, as I have ran around trying to find morning dew in LFay for the past few weeks with no luck.

Was only able to do cultural elf smithing due to brownies and faeries dropping Morning Dew. I hope the foraging chance rate was greatly increased since the ground spawns seem non existant anywhere in the zone.

Same for acorn grown spawns in Misty Thicket. Haven't seen any, anywhere. Any chance the ground spawns are broken??

This is entirely possible a classic change. According to at least 1 classic source the Morning Dew ground spawn is longer than 36 hour game day

I've only been able to find Morning Dew at ONE place (only one unit of it there at a time) and I don't know how long it takes to spawn, but it's longer than 36 hours of game time because that's how long I waited for it to come back after I picked it up. Also, merchants won't buy this stuff at all.
Quote:
It can be found on the ground in a few places but it can also be foraged in certain zones if you have a forage skill of 100 or higher.
Also, not sure of the timeline change, but apparently Blue Diamonds were originally needed in Cultural Smithing up until April 2001?
Quote:
one of the ingredients of the elvin cultural armor is blue diamond. approx 300-1000pp each. that is just one componant. it not a vended item either.
Quote:
as of the last April patch, blue diamonds are no longer needed for the recipes!
rejoice all!
Where is Passenger to research this tradeskill stuff??

Thank Tunare, my cleric made a set of HE cultural plate a few months ago. I too spent considerable time in Lfay foraging on my 53 druid (max forage) for Morning Dew iirc I got one for the effort. I eventually found a player that sold me a stack of morning dew that he got from soloing in Mistmoore. Without dropped Morning Dew I would not have been able to make that glorious armor. Amongst our dwindling player population there are few players that care but I don't see how effectively removing Morning Dew makes the game "better".

It's not about better or worse for the players, it's about being a better re-creation of the game from 1999-2001.

Back in '99-'01 you could only get Morning Dew by foraging it or grabbing a ground spawn. Elf tradeskillers complained (a lot: you can still find their complaints on old forums), so having Morning Dews be hard to acquire is classic EQ.

Later on SOE relented and added it to the loot in Mistmoore ... but that happened after 2001.

Not that I need it anymore but morning dew was already insanely rare and hard to get even when dropped off mobs. This change effectively kills off elven cultural blacksmithing. When's the last time you tried collecting ground spawn morning dew? It's almost like they don't even exist. Foraging morning dew can take days upon days of sitting there hitting a button, totally not worth it before and definitely not worth it now.

Or you just offer to buy some off the newbies who forage it in GFay ... like people did back on live during classic EQ.
