Also having this issue. When choosing character and logging in, screen goes black and it just doesn't do anything. It's getting more frequent too. Many guildies also experiencing this problem. It's obviously patch related since it's global. Can this be addressed? I don't have hours to lose on just logging in.

Found a solution that worked for me. On the compatibility tab for my winEQ shortcut I checked to disable full screen optimizations. Could have sworn I already had when I initially setup EQ on this Win11 PC, but it was unchecked when I looked a few weeks ago.
Since then I've had no black screens loading in. Hope this helps others! | ||
