Old Tunare Players

JLN was a good bunch of folks. I still talk to Lalari on occasion on FB, but they don't play here. Jadii got me in to JLN at the time when Krieger was working with JLN key'n for VP. My first raid actually was Trak, the day I joined. Jadii eventually went to Talisman though, I stuck around.

Played on Tunare from '99-2006 or 2007 but I played so many characters I didn't manage to become 'known' on any of them. Fun times, I've thought about going back but from what I hear there's no reason.

Was anyone in some of the major raiding guilds from old days like Tide? Few others that I am having trouble remembering but I'm sure will come to me.

I remember when I first started playing I joined a heavy RP guild Wind Riders and we had RP battles against their evil nemesis guild Shadow Striders. Damn...that was a LONG time ago...

Talisman, Krieger, Vae Inimicus, Divine Crusade, Tide, Star(s) were all the big hitters in the Kunark/Velious era

I was on Tunare for most of my time playing EQ.

I Was also in a guild with divine in it. i remember our cleric Wonderous (been thinking about that guys name for a while now) he always played with a bard (cant remember her name) and someone else that was a volcal player.

Im surprised i remeber the name wonderous though, was that the guild divine crusade? i was in that guild as a mage named Farkle for forever, or was that on povar... hell i cant remember anymore.

There was both a Divine Crusade and Divine Light on Tunare. DC was more of a raiding guild that appeared in Velious and didnt really start to shine till Omens.

that would have been the guild i was talking about and in, Divine Light, spent most of my time there until i moved to Poo var with my buddies.

I played one of the triplets, with 1 half brother lol. We were Harkle, Darkle, Farkle Jackson 2 DE mages and 1 DE chanter, and we had a friend Masko Jackson a troll shamman that would play with us.

I believe you're way off here on your Tunare history here Phallzoric. I don't think DC popped up until Luclinish and popped into the raid scene pretty big in PoP when they were second getting into elementals. But its ok, I hear you got abused by the trees so badly back in Velious I would suspect that you try to block out a lot of the memories from that era.

Also when did Grunties play on this server?

Jenjen - what was your char in Zizzer? And was it Rovaldi / Boston era Zizzer or whatever came after that? Can't remember if it was somebody else leading or it was Rovaldi on another char, but I just remember the guild sort of died at one point (when I left myself) then popped back up.

Dont forget Cynosure. As much as people hated them ( I was in Talisman and EVERYONE hated them) they were a competative guild, higher than DC at PoP release. My good friend was Seryne from Cynosure so I thought they were ok.

I played on Tunare from march of 99 until 2012, and I can tell you (to the best of my memory) if DC was a guild pre Luclin they were nothing (at least not a raid guild)

The BIG pre luclin guilds (so kunark) were Talisman, Tide and Stars, and Tide and Stars were asian guilds. Around PoP other guilds like Cynosure, and IIRC 2 or 3 others competed for the timer in PoTime

wind riders was red raven before it was wind raven, and was the guild i joined at level 5.

i spent most of my time Kunark+ on tunare in Divine crusade
