Is Primal weapons being unattainable really true classic?

I read in another thread that these things rot in VP all the time. Are these unattainable because it's hard to get into VP? Or because they actually never rot and the thread I read was outdated/wrong?

Primal weapons drop in Sleepers tomb and are in high demand due to Avatar being one of the best buffs in the game. Items do rot in VP all the time because a lot of weapons drop there and many of the weapons are comparable to stuff you can get for relatively cheap in the tunnel. Velious really ramped up the weapons in a way that made Classic/Kunark weapons not very good.

Yes I got confused. Here is what he wrote in response to someone asking about warrior twink weapons:

"Vp key your lvl 1 and pick up rot weapons, some of which are good threat. Get PD robe. Get lvl 5 get full SS, ring 9/10, get str of elements, get 6 neck, get 2 bob and piss off everyone. Get crown of rile or KT helm. ST key your lvl 5 and pick up a rotting primal lance , farm bow from library. Get Peggy/jboots. Should be good then."

sounds kind of fun. Can you not get good rots in VP? Do you also agree that primal lance wouldn't be rotting in ST?

you can probably get some very mediocre rots in vp? idk i'm not keyed, it has a lot of garbage and it's a PITA to get in but for certain classes it has some really, REALLY good shit and those items will always be sought after by the ppl who put in the effort to get there in the first place.

and, while i don't doubt it's a thing that has happened at some point in time, i think you would likely find yourself very disappointed if you were actually banking on scooping up even a 2hp primal rot. they're just *that good* for every single auto-attacking character in the game.
