But consider the personality. The dude was posting as literal of threats as they can get. If I recall, stuff like “I plan to assassinate Biden”, “Getting my rifle ready to kill Biden”

A dude with that personality is likely to want to “go down fighting” rather than be arrested. Personally, I think it was very likely he had his gun on him and ready with the plan the shoot the arresting officers
