Didn't upset me all that much lol. What I didn't understand was that I had to press enter and then confirm to get out of the name menu. And you can accidentally confirm without selecting traits.

Edit: would be hilarious if Bethesda releases a new Elder Scrolls game with one of the races being a space alien wearing drag, and some modder removes it due to it killing their immersion, and modding communities are like “you can’t do that! Because this space alien is GAY! It needs to stay!”
