Mages will smoke most EC pleb monks just with the pet. Adding the DS they will do more than EC rogues. Nuking, well…good luck.

The whole thread is about using a mage pet as a damage sponge. There are a lot of people who don’t raid much or at all. As a generic DPS and utility player for 1-2 group stuff mages are great. Grinding, farming, epic fights, etc.

For raiding, Cothing and rods are important unless we change to unrooted dragons or are required to crawl. A warmbody main mage is still better than half the classes that show up on raids. Situationally, DA training extremely important.
