EQ is the game ppl play during downtime or to larp in chat in 2022. Everyone is a casual. Even the ppl with a char logged into each server to tab thru.

Well it kind of sounds like I just have to figure out what class to play. Main was Ranger back in the day but that was with AA's not sure how well they play post Luclin. I saw some comments that make it seem like i should roll something more Solo oriented?

Do necro, or ench if ur just looking to twink.

If you want to get into a guild clr is viable. It's slow in the 35+ range and not easy to farm items without a buddy tho.

You're a ranger hippy and u like melee so shm is good.

Druid 2 u can melee with thorns and heals. Sounds silly. It works tho for lazy leveling. Not killing cool stuff.

Necros. Especially lizard ones literally don't even need gear or research or fancy spell drops to be any good.

I always recommend avoiding ench because they are somewhat gear reliant. Unclassic. And spells like charm are often used unethically.

Rangers r actually pretty ok at pvp once they get some gear. Go for mr first and any kinda bow u can get ur hands on. U can bow down reds with good dex if you are insane. Since servers in velious they can also fear kite animals to 60.

Everyone else will say do ench. Or SK.

SK is the premier pvp class. Ogre SK. Do 75 agi, the rest INT. Get a weighted axe + a bow. Troll is also OK. Ogre for shm is the minmax.

Everyone solos on blue or green until they get into a zerg anyway for the raid content.

There is actually more skill and enjoyment to be made making ur way thru red alone or in a small grp of 2-5 other ppl.

The only reason green and blue have a higher pop is because those zerg guilds suck and can't compete on red so they go wait in line for welfare pixels on blue and green.

Id rather grind my nuts on the sidewalk doing the split for 2h at a time than soloing PVE with X1 xp to 50 in EQ classic another time.

I never soloed on Rallos, beyond trying quadding on my wiz for novelty. Theres strictly two reasons i put up with it on red: See the zones i didnt see on live, raid which i never did on live and the possibility that my bitching on the forums might eventually make the devs remove xp loss in pvp, which eventually happened, but not before the pop was gone.

When nostalgia isnt going to cut it anymore, you need something more engaging than camping a spot alone for six hours to get 2 bubbles or whatever the fuck.

lame post starkind confirmed been level 44 or so about 20 times on p99 and knows the good part of the game front to back. Also bravely jousts to death while facing certain pvp death like some king from game of thrones.

You on the other hand, shit post in pvp forum because someone pvp'd you 12 years ago and you decided to get revenge by AFK camping a plat camp for the rest of your life to accumulate game wealth. Seek help.
