People voted for Trump because he was the first politician to come out and say its ok to be a racist misogynistic selfish bigot, and that resonated with a lot of people, including many on this very forum. It was also a pushback against the left's PC culture, which has done nothing but further entrench many who are not exactly enlightened with diversity or a wide ranging world view.
