I frequently speak that way to children and the elderly. Clergymen and military service members get it much worse.

The simple solution is for both of them to just get a room, already.

This is assuming, of course, that their back and forth flaming isn't some hidden decripted coding coordinating their men's bathouse meet times in the first place.
