Surely then, it would be like the Spanish Flu, where people with the 'best' immune systems were worst affected?
Not necessarily. Covid inhibits type 1 interferon response and that's already impaired in the elderly.

https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-020-01202-8

"A key feature of coronaviruses (MERS-CoV, SARS-CoV) is a capability to inhibit and delay the type I IFN response, leading to increased viral replication and severe immunopathology. Also, SARS-CoV-2 is able to inhibit the type I IFN responses in infected cells, leading to delayed or overall suppressed type I IFN responses49,50. This allows the virus to replicate and induce more tissue damage, and triggers a more exuberant immune response as the immune system struggles to limit viral replication and to manage dying and dead cells. Immune pathology continues as inflammatory cells flow into the lung and produce large amounts of proinflammatory cytokines, further escalating the situation (Fig. 1c). Such imbalanced immune responses, caused in part by the impaired early type I IFN responses, are the most likely determinant of the overall severity of acute COVID-19 (refs. 50,51,52,53). This is further emphasized by recent results from the COVID Human Genetic Effort54 (https://www.covidhge.com/), which found that inborn errors in the type I IFN pathway55, or the presence of neutralizing autoantibodies to type I IFNs56, were strongly over-represented among individuals who developed life-threatening COVID-19. Whether imbalanced or impaired innate responses also contribute to the development of other disease manifestations such as MIS-C and long COVID remains to be determined."

dont get the vaccine and let your body do what its designed to do
Doesn't getting the vaccine design your body to fight C19?

These are the proteins that are intentionally produced by the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines. Fortunately, because these vaccines violated all of the FDA testing protocols, as part of Operation Warp Speed Trump gave the vaccine manufacturers legal immunity, so there is no need to panic: all corporate profits will remain intact.
Do you even know what mRNA means??? Do you have any fucking idea?? You think they are taking dead covid, putting it in a tube, and injecting it into people??? Please explain your position.

How do you think the vaccine is made and why would they use RNA??

Basically I was like, oh phew the article literally contradicts everything raev said lmao
mRNA vaccines, i.e. those from Pfizer and Moderna, work by giving your body instructions (that's the RNA part) to make COVID spike proteins. The CDC has a nice picture here on page 5. The theory was that the immune system could learn to destroy COVID without actually injecting a so-called live virus. What the article in question is claiming is that it does not matter, the spike protein itself causes pulmonary trauma even if there is no actual virus inside it: that's the "proving that the spike protein alone was enough to cause disease." part. If spike proteins cause disease, and mRNA vaccines cause spike proteins, it automatically follows that mRNA vaccines cause disease. Naturally the scientists at the Salk institute don't draw the obvious conclusion because they want to keep their $billions in funding.

If you have any reason why this logic is incorrect, I'd love to hear it. Unlike most people, I actually change my mind and admit it when I am wrong.

I'm looking forward to getting 6, 7 or maybe even 8 G after my top up next week.
