hospitals are overfilled and turning away patients now. Thank God we stretched this thing out or there'd have been gaspers dying in bed and on the street.

Which hospitals? Please name one specific hospital that is turning away anybody. And if they are, it's kind of medical malpractice to turn away a gunshot victim because somebody has covid. Please be specific with such sweeping claims.

It's pretty common practice for hospitals to be on bypass. You intentionally used a very extreme case because that's what you do. But the reality is many hospitals are at capacity and they literally have nowhere else to put patients. It's a coordinated effort between the local hospitals and emergency medical personnel. They will know they're on bypass and bring them to another hospital with room. Your "common sense" philosophy just doesn't work here. This is the reality of the situation.
