Yeah I have mostly positive experiences with their members also, but frankly I would feel unsafe if the server didn't have at least one gang of dbags monopolizing everything and I literally mean that. If anything they are too nice

if it isn't seals, it'd be another guild, doesn't make a difference what the tag is

It's classic - there will always be a "top guild". People will either hate or adore them. Some clever few will "ignore" them and enjoy the game. I encourage those who don't belong to the first two to embrace the 3rd. It's still a fun game.

Without seal team, somebody else would just assume the role of server douchebags. And they still may; Inglourious Basterds were the original server douchebags on blue, however the title of server douchebags went on to change hands multiple times. Embrace it, it's part of everquest.
This is a false premise. Douchebags do not keep rising up, we just got old douchebags from blue.

Honestly, one of the greatest things about Teal was that it inadvertently separated the players into two groups. Everyone who cared about getting "server firsts" and racing to the top and all that stayed on Green, while everyone who was like "a server with less 'competition', where you can just play EQ casually? that sounds awesome!" went to Teal.

As a result, for a brief beautiful moment you almost had a server for "the casuals", and a server for "the competitors", and it was like the perfect expression of classic EverQuest ... until the devs squashed the dream and threw both groups together on the same server.

Now, this "split" wasn't at all intentional on the devs' part: it was just a side effect of releasing Teal after the fact. But imagine how harmonious everyone's EQ experience would be if there actually was two servers ... one for "casuals" and one for "competitors"?

I think that's a pipe dream, you would at least be slightly spreading out camp competition, but make no mistake, if people thought there was more opportunity to get a chance at rare items on teal, they would.

Ultimately what teal would do is cut in half the number of neckbeards per server.

Yep. There would be no unspoken "we are all casuals" server for more than like ten seconds. As soon as it became a "permanent" server people would be playing on both green and teal at the same time to double down on their pharming operations.

Even now the guys serious about socking are probably playing blue and green at the same time. Nothing is going to keep them from tabbing over to teal as well.
