I prefer dark elf for fashion quest usually. However I have an old memory of something about wood elf warriors and walking to the wood elf guild and probably something about admiring a wood elf warrior for picking a bad race but looking really cool.

Tons of people here talking about dark elf hide, wood elves get it too. Both look amazing in plate, honestly comes down to whether you prefer being good or evil.

Seen it in action while my pet held agro. Wood elves can get an angle just outside mobs melee and still smack it.
