Kunark is the glory days for sure. But Green has given me a new appreciation for Vanilla. I don’t think it “sucks” by any stretch of the imagination.

One cool thing about pre-Kunark is that because of its incomplete itemization, lots of crappy items are actually relevant because there’s nothing better (or at least nothing easily available). I bet every priest you see is wearing Split Paw Hide Gloves. Every ranger is questing their Orc Impaler and Short Sword of Morin because in Kunark, those will suck and much better items will be available. Then, no one will be doing all these old zones and quests and items.

I so wish this didn't happen. Wish expansions did more horizontal progression that worked really, really hard to keep old content relevant.

I like kunark but classic is best. Should be one char per ssn though and rp mandatory. Some sort of pvp war system would be good geographically based

Yes, you are wrong.

Vanilla EQ is far and away the best.

Kunark is sort of gross and ugly.

SoV is ok, but also largely unpleasant and the gear gets too strong.

Classic eq is just fine, but Kunark is so much better.

The anticipation of all thats to come just changes your perspetive.

Kunark is great except how most of the zones are just big rectangles with a bajillion mobs pathing randomly in them.

Not that classic doesn't have its share of those too.

The Bajillion mob zones are a big part of what makes Kunark so great. Room and mobs enough for everyone. If you’re struggling to XP post Kunark you’re doing it wrong, where as the number one complaint I see from people on Green right now is the difficulty in carving out a chunk of content for themselves if they have limited playtime.
