All I remember from the ragnarok days was seeing apex getting shit on for weeks. Hearing how Tune pussied it so hard and was hiding from most pvp engagements and it took the steppingrazors and reebz's to muster a fight - which they did near the end and won a fight or two when ragnarok was waning in desire to login anymore.

Tale of the tape reads like....50 wins to 2 but the apexers like to focus on their "wins" on an aged and self defeated opponent.

I don't think ragnrok and crew ever once had to raid at 4am just to keep dkp going like apex was.

Guess you gotta take what you can.

Ragnarok won the first few large PVP encounters, because they had more players who came of age on red when pvp was actually a thing. We had a lot of blue xplants and shitters, so straight up fighting was hard to win.

We altered our strat from straight up old school military fighting in columns to Viet Kong style guerilla shit. Binding 6 wizards gfluxed up on pillars in tov above where Ragnarok CH chains would be, etc. Port in 6 wizs, tl box, get 5 YTs in a row on clerics, click box out. rinse and repeat.

Wiping guilds engaged on raid targets is by far my favorite thing to do in everquest. Glad Ragnarok was even around otherwise I would have not got to experience it all. Only time r99 has ever seen so much ToV pvp.

Good Fight, see you on red2.0
