Glad it worked out for you.. are people really expecting you to buy the items from the ring war on your own though? I was expecting a post shooting down that proposition. Shit happens

No one has asked me to do that it's just my preference. I probably wouldn't feel as bad if it were just my guild and my friends that lost out, but we have an alliance of many guilds and it's important to take care of them imo. Honestly I'm kind of doing it for myself as much as them, because like with any super-fuckup, I'm eager to forget about it and never think about it again. Making the outcome totally square with what it should have been will guarantee it's funny to me in the future instead of making me roll my eyes every time I think about it.

Respect, but ... don't you think the punishment should fit the crime? Or at least, the sentence should fit the damages?

If you're planning to drop 300+k to fix things, doesn't that imply you did 300+k of damage to people? I'm sure some people wasted some time, but ... even between all of them, was it really 300+k worth?

It depends on how you value time and money. On one hand, the damages incurred were exactly one missing set of Ring War gear, so its balanced in that regard. On a man-hour perspective, its something like 200ish man hours to do a ring war, and 300k plat is high for that (all that's really saying is that doing ringwars are worth extra plat per hour spent because of the limited availability).

I'm not involved in this at all personally, as I missed this ring war, and I would never ask for Tissamo to do this. I won't speak for everyone involved, but I believe it is a fairly common sentiment that asking someone to acquire 300k for a situation like this would be a lot. However, I do think it is very honorable to take personal responsibility for an error in this way and reflects well on his character that he would go through the considerable effort to correct the impact of the mistake. I have a lot of respect for how Tissamo is choosing to handle the situation.
