If you open a trade window with heavy weight items or coin it will remove the weight from your character while the window is up (since the items are in trade, not in inventory) and you can move unencumbered until the trade window drops.

Make a new character and try to not think about all the pixels you coulda bought.

Retire the porter and take up a new life (or game).

I invested around $20,000 into space coins IRL.

Lost it all in less than 6 months.

As someone who has lost far more you must have really liked the game to acquire xyz. Losing items/characters/plats isn't too much a problem if you have a deep passion for the game. A break is inevitable for soon enough you will hear the clarion call...

Don't quit for that reason for sure, look at the bright side, you don't have a video of shouting "plat not up!" losing all credibility. Farm something this time instead of porting maybe?
