And you're very wrong about the loot. A LOT of people, especially the playmakers, don't raid on p99 for the loot. I joined Aftermath because I wanted raid loot, that's the truth. I didn't expect to like raiding as much as I did. I figured that I would get some shit, and take off. But it's a lot of fun! I don't even give a shit about loot anymore. I raid because it's fun, and I love my guild members.
This is a similar concept to going to the gym though.. Nobody really has fun at the gym, or looks forward to it, until their goals have been reached. You know who has the most fun in the gym? Those good lookin buff guys and gals.. They always slappin hands, drinkin juice, chattin with other bro's and broette's, smiling, gettin it. You know who isn't having fun? The ones who need to be there. That guy sloggin away on the stupid elliptical, 100% pure unhappiness.. I'm not here to argue though, i get what your saying. I'm that guy at the gym, you're that guy on the raid scene. But I think you lose sight once you do reach the top, you lose sight of what it took to get there. It wasn't always fun, it wasn't always productive. That being said, i respect yall's hustle! Get them pixels!!!

And i'm sure lower tier guilds will be A LOTTTT less afraid to step foot in NToV when the entire area has more trains then Grand Central Station while 140 experienced, raid geared people try to make it to a rooted dragon ……….
Leap frogging is classic as fuck. Rooted dragons would simulate what it was like in 2001. Right now you have two guilds competing in ToV they would have to pick and choose what to go for on a quake and race plus the scheming that would go down to decide who will be able to snag Vulak would be pretty fun in a strategic sense. Meanwhile lesser guilds can see what moves the top contenders are making to adjust their targets and could ride the wake that those two top guilds make clearing. Train station doesn't really make sense in this scenario. You are actually clearing trash and anyone leapfrogging is moving their force past whoever they are racing with not pulling trash over another guild.

I like your response. But that's the thing. Plenty of people start going to the gym hating it. After a week or two, maybe they realize.. wow, I already feel like I've improved. Or wow, I really have been having a lot more energy lately. Wow I really am starting to like this runners high. Wow I got a second wind for the first time. Wow my overall mood has improved dramatically... a year later they are the buff person slapping hands and weight spotting in a power stance. The unhappiness stems from self defeat. I'll never lose this weight. Everyone around me is so much more in shape. I probably look stupid. My fat is flopping around. We'll never beat Aftermath in a coth race....

Gotta put in the effort to get the results. You can be the person who realizes the HUGE benefits of being in shape and commits to their cause, or you can be the person who starts a diet, angrily orders a salad, and pick at it with a miserable look on your face.

can't make this make sense to a rabbit unless it possesses a great deal of mental fluidity and a certain measure of pride.

I hear ya! I getcha boss! EQ like the gym, is time consuming, it's not hard, but it takes time and patience.. You lose and you win. Somedays you eat pizza, some days you roll 0's. Every now and then you recognize your gains in the mirror, and you roll a 100. Its amazing that impatient people exist on p99.. How do impatient people even make it to end game? That's beyond me.... People really need to decide if raiding is for them or not before getting into it.. I don't do many raids, but definitely been to a fair share. And nothing is more irritating than little children complaining about their loot. Shut up and attend the next raid, better luck next time. That's how i feel when i walk in the gym and see the squat racks filled up.. Better luck next time for me....

In the great words of 2chainz- My chain had another chain like it was pregnant, my favorite dish is turkey lasagna.
