This is why I would never make an RNF thread. The chances of it getting pushed into a backfire thread have to be like 90%+ if it's not about unemployed neckbeards or something else the majority of the server doesn't like.

I think most people in this thread would agree that it was rude, and that Rootum should have at least talked to the OP first before taking a spectre. But that's not an "RnF pile-on" worthy offense; hell for all we know he didn't even see OP, and it was a simple misunderstanding.

What killed the OP, IMHO, was this line:

Writing that in any RnF thread is like throwing blood into shark-infested water. Doing it in a post that whines about having to share one out of eight (insignificant) mobs, pretty much guarantees that thread is going to backfire, no matter who responds.
