But seriously, I was thinking about various slots and was curious what people thing are BIS/Realistic BIS for most toons (e.g., not Vulak everything). Some are easy: Shawl, Epic, Velk ranged, Tunare offhand, but where do you think there is the most room for variation?

I ask this as a DE chanter that went 15/15, so some of my gear choices are more obvious (like using a Halo instead of any other hat), and a PoM cloak is probably a certainty at some point.

I have spinning orb of confusion for my range and I would find it hard to swap it to anything else. Hella hp and charisma , can't beat it imo.

I opted onyx gauntlets over yelinak head gloves

I think SS robe beats pom robe except in fashion.

I know am enchanter who lives by the idea of "functional BiS" and I mostly agree with him. For instance , wearing bracer of the hidden fulltime is an odd choice but can see the practicality of it.

I think enchanters in general undervalue what HP items will do for them.
