A friend of mine was dating a girl for a few months, and it was her b-day. He was pretty much broke at the time, so he did the only logical thing a guy could do when he doesn't have any money for his new gf.
He put on a ski mask and broke into her house and raped her. After he AND her was finished he removed the mask. 8 years later they are still happily married. So look at it that way ladies, you may just meet the man of your dreams! And you all think rape is bad, pfff.

Holy shit, I almost agreed with a post by Abacab.
Rape is a terrible thing and there is no excusing it - especially when said excuse hinges on what the victim was wearing - but it's hardly so common place that one should need to worry about it happening 'at any time'. Yes, as a male, I don't have to constantly watch out for the dangers of predatory males (though it should be pointed out that cases of male rape do occur), but unsure as to why the same cannot be said of men worrying about other serious violent crimes. I could be set upon by one of the knife-wielding gangs of 15 year-olds that prowl the streets where I live, and I don't think it's too unfair to draw a comparison between being raped and being repeatedly stabbed or kicked to death. Each has their own drawbacks. The statement of 'fact' that rape can occur 'at any time' is a bit iffy also. I hate to be one of her male friends spending time with her while she constantly watches my every move lest the reprehensible nature of my gender springs to the fore and I pounce on her in the middle of Taco Bell. Douchebags the majority may be, but few men are actual sex offenders.

Quote:
Most rape is actually date rape, as in you know the person somewhat and the person takes advantage of you wile you are drunk/high/vulnerable, and as such is the most prevalent and non-discussed form of rape in the United States. I however don't agree with the "always gotta watch my back for rapists" argument that has been presented because as it could happen it's more likely to occur in places where there is more civil unrest (Africa, South America, parts of Asia) because forcible and malicious forms of rape tend to be the by product of wartime and lawlessness. So to recap... Passing out drunk and getting fucked by some dude at a party is what most likely occurs in the U.S Roving gangs of gun wielding rapist tends to isolate around third-world nations (Somalia, Dafur, Nicaragua, Eastern Europe etc.) | |||

abacab, you're sounding like lydia lunch. Not all women are whores, and not all men are rapists 8] I don't go clubbing because it's shallow/stupid/boorish/musically appauling etcetc. I guess everyone just wants to be desired, and if everyone's ass shaking, a woman asking for a waltz isn't going to have a hope in hell of tearing a man's gaze from the ass grinding his junk.
Tbh, I think it's more likely that women are this way as a result of man's objectification. Don't most men think about sex most of the time? I see men checking out women everysinglefuckingmomentoftheday, especially when the woman is oblivious to it. Most women feel an innate pressure to compete to feel secure, probs because most males are just hypersexual and always drawn in by the allure of something new, amirite?
