most folks who wear the robe (as compared to giving it to a pet, or equipping it when you plan to melee) simply use it for the stats, which are pretty good.

Ya, procs happen per min (based on dex) no matter the weapon (of the ones I used). The off hand procs EXACTLY 1/2 of the mainhand, no matter.
Still, an awesome weapon and a caster isn't that bad of dps compared to nuking and medding and crazy stats/a proc/ full haste definitely could win out long term dps at 60. Plus you still have that mana sitting there at the beginning/from down time. Oh ya, I forgot I parsed hours and hours of various dex procs. I'll find the notebook and see if I can find a formula. I was worried it's not linear tho, or maybe not even (negative) exponential (as in reducing in effect from dex over time). I'll have to run it thru some Matlab although I might not have enough data, and I'm worried it's a subset of formula's like most stats here (as in more effect pre 100, someother 100-200, etc) of which I'm not gonna crack it w/o more parsing. If you have any real parses (I was doing only 30+ min single mobs with crap weapons and background healers) I'd take it =) | ||

At 255 dex (scales down for less dex): Mainhand: 2 procs per minute Offhand: 1 proc per minute And there are no items with proc frequency modifiers; they should all proc with the same frequency, be it a Bonethunder Staff or a Sceptre of Destruction. And this info does not apply to buff-based procs like Vampiric Embrace or Call of Fire.

And yeah, as people have said, you can just ignore the haste and wear it for the stats; and once you outgrow it, it can be given to charmed pets.
