![]() As far as I'm concerned, CRT monitors always seemed to produce better image quality in dark settings than LCD's, at least in the same price category.
Pretty sure it was simply tuned up by SOE as QoL improvements.

![]() My human ranger back in the day used Eyes of the Cat and then later Chill Sight
..which reminds me. Ultravision was cold while other visual ranges were warmer, supporting Sorns observation.

![]() The Titanium client has a brightener effect for outdoor areas which automatically switches itself on a few seconds after a player logs in. Sometimes this effect glitches out and fails to engage, leaving the game world much more similar to classic, although still different since neither Ultravision nor Infravision, nor night-time in general work properly here. However, we don't really want proper night blindness since light sources (lightstones, lanterns, etc) also quite often glitch out on this client and at times refuse to work.
Bottom line, you're not going to get true classic vision on the Titanium client. The automatic brightening feature does not apply to indoor zones, so zone into a dark zone like Befallen as a human and wander around without a lightsource if you want to see some pitch-dark areas. Danth
