Have you perused the wiki yet? Seems most of the maps are pretty accurate, with location markers for notable features (including named).

Of course, there is a daily post (or two) asking about places to level for class S at level U, leveling C for solo on whatever continent (K). IT varies a bit.

The Per-Level Hunting Guide (link in signature) is actually designed to answer that set of questions. It even has class-based filters now, so you can look for only hunting spots which have been recommend for your class. It also has a level filter so you can easily hide all of the ones which aren't appropriate to your level. (You can't use both at the same time, but in practice if you do the class one there are so few spots you don't really need to also filter by level.)

I've basically seen every page your wiki has to offer on each zone =P

All of my guides at the bottom of the guide I link to the P99 wiki entry and allakhazam entry for that zone too - I figure there's a good chance the player is going to use one of our three websites so instead of forcing them to waste their time googling allakhazam or p99 wiki I'd just link to them =P

I took a look at the guide too and it looks great! I remember you saying you used my guide(s) for a lot of the info and if you did I must ask how long ago? In the last two weeks I have gone back and added basically double the info to my EQ Classic/Kunark leveling guides... I now basically have a couple paragraphs for *ever single zone in the game* .. missing Runnyeye, Najena and Warsliks Woods. I know Runnyeye really well just have been lazy.. Najena and Warsliks Woods I've been to like friggen twice. So I gotta go to that zone and learn it before I write the guide... which takes much more of my time.

anyway - here's a link to the changes I have made to the classic EQ guide: http://www.almarsguides.com/eq/leveling/classic/

Some zones like Everfrost Peaks and Innothule Swamp I went into quite a bit of detail on; others I have notes to touch up like The Feerrott and ironically my favorite noob zone Misty Thicket.

Also if you wouldn't mind I may link to your page on my website a bit for some of the "good location for xyz class"

Probably years ago at this point, it was when I first started and got all my spots from other internet sources. I've since gone through every site I could find though, so I don't still actively look for new ones, but if you just added more ... [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Oh, you’ve done a fine job man. I was not attempting to disparage it.

I'd like to have guides on how to play my toon in the best way. I bard, and it's tough to know what to do when 4 mobs agro at once, or how to run through several while lulling without getting seen.

So being someone with max level characters on 3 Live servers including 2 TLPs, P99 and TAKP...

They are all different in their own right. To speak on some TLP vs. P99 differences your guides may not catch:

Velious armor on P99 can be MQ'd by any player given sufficient faction (kindly for dwarves and ally for dragons or Giants). This leads to a market where people charge 50-100k for the MQ of certain pieces namely BPs and Legs.

Velious armor on TLPs can only be MQ'd by a player of the same class as the MQer. This change was done to eliminate the above issue where people farm stuff to sell the MQ. So for example a Druid who loots a leather wrist can only MQ the leather wrist to another Druid. It wouldn't work for a Monk or Beastlord's MQ.

----

P99 does not have focus effects.

TLPs do and caster gear isn't a total dumpster fire.

---

P99 Flowing Thought (mana regen) stacks (unclassically) if the Flowing Thought numbers are different. IE you can have one FT3, one FT2 and one FT1 item for a total of 6 Mana regen. However if you have three different FT1 items you only get one mana regen.

TLP Mana regen all stacks up to the cap of 15 pre-AAs.

------

P99 Blacksmithing has some absurd trivials on combines. Banded goes up to 175 and Fine Plate into mid 200s.

TLPs have Banded capping at 115 and Fine Plate at 188.

-----

P99 Pottery doesn't have any Faithstones, Spiritstones, Golden Idols, Steins. Baking doesn't have Misty Thicket Picnics or Halas Meat Pies. Brewing doesn't have Kaladim Constitutionals or Qeynos Afternoon Teas. Basically this all boils down to Celestial Essences not being released until Luclin.

TLPs have all of those things because of updated Research merchants.... on this topic

----

P99 has classic research combines 16-49

TLPs have updated research combines extending into 55 spells on Agnarr

-----

These are just a few examples. If you don't play here, I don't suggest you make guides for the server. If you like boxing and hate Velious, don't play here. You will have a bad time.
Had to come back and thank you again for all of this info. I just updated all of my Velious Tradeskill Guides today and I added addendums for everyone playing on the P99 Emulator about the differences. <3
