Bottom line, /role/anon doesn't bother me but I wish when you did a / all 'zone' that it'd give you the real number of people in the zone. I don't need their name or who specifically is there. Just how crowded it is.

Anyhow, I play a cleric and enchanter. I've yet to /role or /anon. For me, if i'm not busy i'll help others... if i'm busy i tell them i can't help. No one has gotten mad at me for not helping them. Maybe, I'm just lucky.

I don't mind helping others with ports/buffs either when I'm not busy. Unlike you though I have had people get angry with me because I said "Sorry, can't port you right now I'm busy."

As a cleric I put up role to indicate that I am otherwise busy and not available to run across 10 zones to rez your entire party for 20p.

As far as raids and clerics/druids/wizards go though, obviously (or should be obviously...) if you are in Sky/Hate/Fear, you presumably won't be getting tells from people in guk for res's/ports...

So go ahead and take em off on raids~

Why does it bother people if you're /role or /anon?

Do you have to know what kind of boxers I happen to be sporting today? Or are you more interested in whether i'm wearing a tank top or plain white undershirt?

Does it harm your MMO experience if you don't know what level/race/class I am? Would you also like to know my modified AC value based on the worn AC softcap? What about exact mana and hp?

Why don't you go the full length and know my IP address, home address, profession, and toilet paper preference?

You forgot several options... wanting to make your sorry ass run across 5 zones only to find me camping your perfect dream camp, making your trackers work that extra 3-4 minutes to figure out what our guild is doing to slow you down just a little, I'm actually roleplaying, I like the purple name sticking out among the blue ones because it makes me feel special, because its funny when people ask my wizard for clarity, and finally, pretending I'm farming fine steel off somewhere when I'm really hiding in a zone cybering Abacab.

/anon is the worst thing. Why does your level 30 rogue ass need to have an anon tag up? I guess I can understand if you play a wizard/druid/cleric and get annoyed easily, but most people with anon/role enabled have no business doing so and have certainly missed out on opportunities because of it.
