Regarding Scout and <Savage>

You know what else isn't classic? Scores of people all trying to do scout at once with 99% of them having better than a 56k modem. Show me some screenshots of that from 2000.

Give it a rest, Loramin. Your argument is that the Scout FTE should change because technology has improved over the last 18 years and your relying on the basis of "Show me screenshots..." and what have you. Which that in itself is counter intuitive of your argument because that improvement of technology allows the commoners and plebs of the yesteryears that were on 56k modems (myself included until Janurary 2002) to race with the neckbeards of yesteryears. The fact is: You can't competitively race due to lack of skill and you feel the urge to have a crusade to, basically, Bernie Sanders the Scout mob.

Wow, just ... wow. You seriously have the audacity to come here and claim that it takes skill to click your mouse over and over again? Or to make a few settings changes to your software (eg. disabling textures)? Or to use a program like autofire?

If someone's head is so far up their ass they believe that scout takes skill ... nothing I can say could possibly reach up in there, so I won't even try.

I'm pretty sure non-dialup connections were becoming getting pretty common in 2000, or at least in civilized areas. That said, classic or not, a roll seems much more "balanced" as to force the rapid-clicker-app folks to level turf.
