This is a classic case of how much should you charge for a service. If I'm a doctor, lawyor, or IT consultant, and it takes me 5 minutes to answer your question, diagnose and treat your illness, or fix your IT problem- how much is that worth? I mean it only took my five minutes, but I went to college, medical school and residency(3-5 years) in order to be able to accurately do this. How much is that worth?
It's not all about clicking the button for 2 seconds. It's about how much time, money and effort it took to be able to perform the service.

Yet again the comparisons of real life with people making money to survive and feed their families vs. what they do in a video game for fun, lol

soup, what you fail to realize is everything that lead up to me being able to hit that combine button and have it succeed. It took time to skill up. I invested that time so that I might get a return on it, saving me time in the future.
Actually, Hawk, what you fail to realize is :

The clerics and druids who actually have to waste time and mana and still barely ever bitch about helping folks out in a pinch (except the few anti-socials on the forums)

Are still leaps and bounds in character and humanity above someone screaming from the mountain tops about daring to ask someone )who's already finished their sunk costs to max skill) to waste 15 seconds of their life to click a combo button.

I've never charged to combo a necro spell while sitting in east commons.. I put half the server in banded and (later) fine steel armor at launch either at cost or out of pocket (the loaner program!).

And for some strange reason i've never had a shortage of friends, ports, resses for my alts, phat lewtz, jewelcraft combos, or even something to do when i log in.

But please, feel free to get back to your /randoming, your re-selling, your plat farming, and the lonely spot in the EC tunnel with your butt imprints on it -- to waste your EQ time away convinced the world is out to get you, that you aren't getting your fair share, and that the world of norrath does not appreciate your immense talents.

We wish you the best of luck.

Grats on your plethora of friends inside of EQ. Unfortunately, some people rely on the economy to get things done. Not everyone wants to get that socially involved. Neither are wrong, but you still can't justify expecting things for free.

JC takes a lot of initial money and a lot of time and mana to skill up...especially to the 250 mark. So yeah, JC'ers should be paid for their skill and time...
