Do what I did when I first started. Bring up the DL map, you'll notice that once you leave the tunnel after port in that it's a direct line east to FV. Just run levitated straight out of the tunnel until you get to FV, and make sure your Levi doesn't drop mid flight.

How do you ever die in EQ with this logic? Clearly I did exactly this, and a spider still cast a spell on me. I was doing all I could to run "up" with levitate (number key 9 for up, just like swimming) I get it. Best laid plans...

Well clearly you failed to do something incredibly simple, but clearly it's the games fault. Pro tip, when you're levitating through DL, look up.

If you are having issues ask someone in Dial a Port to escort you or someone at the WC rings that look bored.

But yes like everyone is saying it is a straight shot and a pretty easy run once you learn it.

You could also /who all fv and see if anyone is willing to grab the spells for you.

Be safe out there [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I got the port, I had invis and levitate, I looked up and ran straight east (after seeing on a map FV was basically due east from the valley entrance to DL). Still got a spell cast on me by a spider. I'm not exactly sure how high I was (as I was looking up) but obviously wasn't high enough.

Don't need help, simply realized I wasn't intended to play an enchanter (or any other class that needs to boat from BB to FV given the server owners clearly can't keep it running). I'm an alt-a-holic anyway so no biggie, I just miss the little money I did have on the body but it's not like shared bank/mail exists so giving money to alts when it's not all that much isn't that big a deal anyway.

Time will tell, I was having a blast until this happened. Honestly I've found the community to be very kind on here and that's probably the one reason I keep playing. Haven't run into one person in game who's been anything but friendly and helpful.

check out my thread "jeppenstrubber's jaunt" for a detailed story on how to travel from DL rings to FV. hope this helps [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
Again the community is helpful, but alas my baby enchanter has met her final demise. My next run through DL will be with a character who's high enough to be there at least with a fighting chance.

Let your body rot and then petition to get it back. Guides are happy to help with that :3 Also, if you tab out while levi, you sink like a rock, so no num-lock and tab out to look for booby pics while auto running through DL :c I would suggest following the wall and stay as high up on it as possible if you going through DL.

When did boats break though? The way the BB ones work, you get on a shuttle and then it will zone out (boat don't come). Once it zone into TD the shuttles will si there quite a while and then move to the big boat which you need to transfer too. Used to be that the shuttles would just drive through the boat and dump you inside it, but think they fixed that. Been a while though ^^

I just got rid of the character honestly, not trying to run through DL at level 16 again and not having the spell would bug me more then it should.

When I was waiting for the boat (shuttles) they never came. Waited for 90+ minutes, several times hearing the "departing" message and the shuttles never showed up. Asked in /ooc and was informed that they have been broken for a week or so.
