The p99 raid scene is policed and predominantly played by Liberals. What else did you expect. Cucking it up was just a matter of time.

A high percentage of people that play on a pve server when they have the option to play on a pvp server are afraid of pvp.

You could never make raid areas pvp enabled, if you did this on p99 blue, it would end up with the population red has.

Coming from many games that had pvp/pve servers, I know the ones who enjoy pvp are a very small minority, which is sad because pvp does add a vast element of variance to the game.

In pvp every encounter has a chance to have something occur that has never occured before, that's why pvp is fun. Every fight is unscripted.

That being said, the majority of gamers are bluebies and will never pvp. They like pve only.

This may be the stupidest thing I've ever read in the entire history of man kind. PvP is a widely sought after aspect in mostly every game and enjoyed by nearly all.

EverQuest PVP however was not only completely awful, but abysmally imbalanced. There is not even a semblance of fun to be had in EQ PvP. It has nothing to do with "being scared" - it has everything to do with "being absolutely garbage."

Most players in EQ enjoy a game of League, or DOTA2.. Others enjoy FPS stylings such as battlefield, COD, Halo, etc. All of these are PVP games.

It has nothing to do with "being afraid to pvp" - EverQuest pvp is not fun. It encourages twinked to the teeth assholes to sit around griefing every new player off the server to stroke their e-peen. Even with a ridiculously non classic EXP bonus Red is still crumbling to dust; and for good reason. It is not fun. The Red community is killing itself with toxic players, and MPK.

Nothing about what he said was stupid really. If anything it was on point. People are afraid to PVP because they are afraid of dying and wasting their time. Most blue players are comfortable not having to deal with what pvp brings. And for sure if they enabled PVP on blue the cesspool that composes the red community would flock to blue and shit it up. You cannot compare a 40 minute moba or fps to something that literally takes years away from your life. That sir, is stupid.

Raid scene could be fixed with two steps that Sirken refuses to take:

- work with guild leaders to clarify and finalize rules, post them publicly and keep them up-to-date based on current precedent
- make raid petitions public in a forum that everyone can view

Sirken has been asked multiple times by multiple people on all sides of the raid scene to clarify certain rules, and he has refused again and again. His stated reason for not clarifying rules is that ambiguity reduces the opportunities for people to abuse the rules. Try not to laugh.

Probably 3/4 of the disputes I've seen have been over ambiguity in the rules. The rest were either legitimate rule violations, or disingenuous bullshit. Making raid petitions public reduces the disingenuous bullshit because it adds accountability. Having the rules clarified and posted publicly eliminates the rest of the petitions. End result: Raid scene gets better because people can't simply shout "CONCPDE" whenever they think something isn't going their way.

I eagerly accept my incoming forum ban for having the audacity to question the Will and Authority of Our God Emperor, Sirken.

Make a rule and you're accountable for the loopholes nerds are going to find, right?

Nothing is fairer than "last guild standing" when the mob drops

Sirken's stream is great to get to know some of the forum posters here. I learnt that this guy chews with his mouth open and eats and talks at the same time.

Need better material, pal. This is RnF - step up your game or go the fuck back to Server Chat.

And, no one else wanted to do Sirken's shitty stream and I'm consistently the best and most notable guest on that stream. I wasn't going to forego eating to entertain you nerds.
Be grateful you got what I gave you.
