It's not skill, it's time.

And there's no reason not to cater a portion of the content to those who put in the most amount of time. Everyone pays the same subscription, but a "casual" player is less likely to quit paying because they've run out of things to do.

Funny how it works heh? In the month preceding the Warhammer launch you had legions of players not content with having 95% of the servers where pvp was restricted to specific areas in a zone, they went on a crusade to try to stop the players who were trying to have one server where you can pvp everywhere. Oh the irony of these "carebears" trying to piss in other people's cheerios.

It was really something to see these people call people like me "griefers" when in actuality they were the ones trying to grief FFA players outside the game and actively trying to stop these players from getting their server, although they would never set foot themselves on that server.
Yeah, PvP is the same way.

I personally am not a fan, but other people love it. What right do I have to demand PvP not be available to them? What's the harm in people who enjoy PvP having their own server where they can enjoy and not have to worry about interference between them and people who don't?

I agree. I was making the point of how retarded it was to think that time = skill, when it's not at all the case.

How dare you imply that Poopsocking does not take skill! Not just anyone can stare at a empty spawn point for hours on end sir!

Ahh, my good friend. I am merely implying that while poopsocking may take skill, skill may not take poopsocking...

guys i simply cannot stop reading the comments under the article and laughing. this is what the genre has come to and this is why we hide out here in p99.

"heroics should be doable by pugs in 30 minutes"

seriously i just cant discern if this is intended as humor or is there really a playerbase that feels this way.

All the while the hardcores on P1999 sit in east commonlands thinking the casuals respect them for their poopsocked.....or SKILL... *cough* *cough* gear. At least WoW is trying to make difficult encounters and rewarding all those with the ability to win - not the ability to sit for long hours.
