Protip: if you put a 205 range jav in your ammo slot and use shurikens in your range slot, the range on the shurikens increases to the average of the two numbers.
Well I tested this with a throwing axe (120 range) because I didn't have a javelin and it didn't work. Unless this only works with a javelin.

The posted range does not change. The actual range when throwing the weapon increases. I use shurikens and 1 jav on my monk.

It must just work with the javelin then. I tested this by dueling someone. I got max distance with a shuriken by itself and then equipped the throwing axe and took one step back and it just says "you are out of ammo". If I took one step forward again (with axe still equipped) it would throw the shuriken like before.

So I have tried all the suggestions in this thread. I have tried running at 1920 resolution instead of 2k. I have run in windowed and full screen. I have tried the duxu multi-core fix. I have my FPS turned down to 30. Nothing is really working to resolve the hitching effect. Running in fullscreen instead of a window *seems* to make it a tiny bit better but not enough. Anyone else have any suggestions? For pulling/sneaking in dungeons this is really annoying.

I have Windows 10 installed on an SSD drive and my games (including EQ) installed on a 3TB SATA drive. I'm wondering if I moved my EQ install to the SSD if that would help. I read some stuff that EQ freaks out whenever the HD gets accessed or something but with 16Gb of RAM I wouldn't think that would be happening too much. I do have strangely long load times though so it might be worth trying it just for that.

Quick update in case others are having similar issues. I went ahead and moved my EQ directory to my SSD drive and this seems to have resolved my hitching issue as far as I can tell (haven't really experienced it again in a couple hours of play and I'm using 2k resolution). It also greatly reduced my zoning time as expected.

Also try and exclude logs folder from antivirus. I had problems with this in the past.

Do you have logs on? In that case, exclude them from Antivirus software.
