Thank god, I was on the fence but that solidifies my decision to start up over there.

Server should be fun, as always.

Main difference this time around are server resets, which they hope will provide some sort of longevity.

Not sure how I feel about the resets yet, but after 6 months every one may be ready for a reset. Not to mention, it will be interesting to see what new things roll out every season/if there are season rewards pending on how well you do.

well 1 boxing a good solo character there + playing on one of the other servers is quite do-able, the xp curve should be good

devnoob/image always made great servers

It just feels like those rules take it more in the direction of WoW/battlegrounds... which kind of detracts from the flavor that EQ brings with it to pvp.

I'm sure it'll be a solid box.

Yeah 6 months is plenty. Red99 had its best era to its worst in about 4 months.

Not counting the level locks you should be able to hit 50 in a week or two of casual play.

Things like epics can be earned from PvP and being grouped allows everyone to get credit in the group. Besides things like AoN & Epic there isn't much that you need to farm PvE wise to be competitive so people will be ready for a reset after 6 months.

The best part about the pvp point is you can gear yourself up by farming players instead of npc. that is red as fuck
