As I understand it, this server was made by taking the code that made PEQ and removing stuff and remaking a lot of stuff that was removed or changed in the years since the game went live. The thing is, a lot of stuff was left in because it would have taken years to remove everything to make it adhere to the whole "classic" EQ. That's why there are some non-classic quests that are still in game, and some stuff like tradeskill items or noobie class armor items (like halfing foot bones in Nektulos).

So, the Hole is in game. I dunno if it's populated, but it could be. I stopped playing in 2004, so I don't know if it was revamped or anything like that. But since the code is from PEQ and PEQ has the Hole, I'm guessing that the zone could be 100% functional, but since the zone-in located in Paineel is disabled you can't enter without a GM port or something like that.

Well I did it - you don't zone into the hole, but you do get punched by pain and suffering for 32000 damage.

Wrong in only 15 words. P99 is based on the AX database, not PEQ.

Nope, I probably fell a distance equivalent to 1.5-2 times the height of the EC tunnel at the entrance, which was weird. Maybe the devs programmed an insta-kill once you hit a certain Z-vector.

According to the game, I actually died in paineel...
